Built in 1758 for the Sultan of Yogyakarta, Taman Sari was a sanctuary of bathing pools, gardens and botanical rituals reserved for royalty.
The bio-ancestral archive
Javanese court beauty was built on oils, not water: candlenut pressed for the hair and skin, rice milled into lulur polishes, rhizomes ground into daily jamu. Our botanicals are sourced through partners in Java and finished in our UK laboratory.
